Okay, a koa Shannon II would DEFINITELY be custom shop, a no-no for this run... Although it would be killer!

Yes, original colors would be fantastic. Everything the same except the pickup layout. Ideally I'd want to snap up the orange one and both the white ones, but everybody knows I'm going to be one of the losers who chooses plain ol' gloss black because I love it so much... Or, they could do a variation on the original colors... maybe black could turn into gun metal grey, BGF could be black ghost flames, white could be ivory, slime green could be seafoam green, and orange could be gold. Again, that would venture deep into custom shop territory again so I am only joking... So black RR24 it is for me...

A Black RR24 is the choice for me as well

This is my choice, I've said it before, and will lay it out simple.

Black RR. 24 frets. Inlay at 24th fret if possible.
Gold Hardware, if there's a pickguard, gold as well (I think it would set the guitar off very nicely).
Duncan Distortion, Duncan Jazz. Abalone inlays. Bound fretboard in the standard off-whitish color. Ebony board.

I've not decided on string thru or Floyd yet. If I could get the other options, the floyd or string thru wouldn't matter...but more than likely I'd lean towards a floyd, but if it's string thru, that'd be really awesome too, and not stir me away one bit.

Matts Music, if people get this going, PM me, if I for some reason don't have the available credit, I'll sell my organs on the black market.

With all this said, I won't be buying a guitar off of you right away...I'm going to wait to see if this pans out. Awesome we've got quite a few people interested.

How many do we need to make this cost effective?

The important questions that need to be answered before we even decide on any particular model:

1) What is the minimum order for USA Select pricing?

2) How many units you would take responsibility for as a dealer (if any)?

3) What initial financial responsibility would you need to consider someone committed? 1/2 down, 1/3 down?

Matt, I think that info is necessary before anything else happens.

I'm estimating 1/2 down would be in the $800-$900 range, and 1/3 would be in the $550-$650.

Does that sound about right?

Ok, here are my ideas so far:

* 24-fret USA Rhoads (a SL2H neck)
* no pickguard (rear loaded)
* painted or oiled neck
* bound ebony board regular sharkfins
* either 1 hum 1V, or 2 hum 1V/1T/CTS 3-way
* OFR or string-thru TOM
* flame maple top with a dark trans finish...I'd love to see a quilt top as well but I'm guessing they won't do that on a LTD run. With the pickguard out of the way a graphic would look way cool too, such as Red/blue/black ghost flames!
I'm flexible on the pickups...almost anything but a standard JB/jazz will do it for me.

I'm ready to put 1/2 down.

I'd be up for a 24 fret Rhoads, but not black or anything basic, Fluyd/String thru, doesn't matter, no pickguard tho.

I'd also be up for a Warrior, anything Xeon mentioned is cool with me, BUT>...... I'd HAVE to have the volume knob moved back a bit, perhpas below and and an inch behind the Floyd...

I also think that if everyoen's talking or even considering doing this, we should split these orders between 2 dealers, one dealer gets the RR and the other the warrior. No offense to either, but we can keep it all in the family and not one particular dealer is pulling their hair out for 2 runs at basically the same time. We certainly don't want to push someone to the brink of running away from here or not being able to communicate with the brotherhood here.

I'd also be up for a strathead of some sort, perhaps a Heiny...

Exactly, this is the one!!
Personally I`d prefer string thru TOM, painted neck, flame top.
But can we have routing from the back???? hopefully yes, but didn`t think so...

We norwegians are rich people, so I`m ready to put down a half too

Hey Matt, are you writing this all down? Get ready to order a line of Frankenrhoads.

I've got to have 2 hums, and I'd prefer a painted neck. If it's reasonable abalone. Trying to keep it in the USA select price range would be great too, however I know the abalone may run it up, so if that's the case, I could forgo that.
I guess I should have mentioned this also,

3 way switch, and I'd like it to be just one volume, but people like the tone knobs I guess, and that's not too big a deal for me.

I don't use a tone knob either but I left one in there anyway 4 people down with this so far?
painted neck is cool with me, I guess the dispute will be OFR vs. TOM (as usual)
Any cool pickup suggestions?
