  • Evolution of the online community

I was trying to piece together the online (forum) evolution and was looking for some info.

What was the order of the apparence of websites...Larry, Ralph, Bret, Rob L and Rob W all come to mine as the early ones but what was the order. I think Bret was first..but does anyone know the order?

Also JCF history...the original founders of this community were Bret, Witte and Curt is this correct???

Past admins include Curt, Crowe, Tekky, Bret is this correct

    Thanks in advance.

It is pretty amazing to see the progress of the online community. We take it all for granted now, kinda curious to how it evolved to make it the cool place it is today.

    Cheers

I have to say I'm new to this forum (been registered for a few months i think, maybe just one heehee), and it's by far the best BIG forum I've come across...
Everybody is helpful, everybody seems humble and eager to read more about anything Jackson/Charvel or just guitar/music related...
        Hail you all, great job.
(not really the topic but not really off topic, just my feeling about it)

?? Not 100% but he did have the Forum "Vodo Lounge". And a couple of good battles began there. Even Dee Snider got in on a battle (well it was believed to be Dee). And the EVH battle was fought there also -- None of these Wars have ever been won.

I think this order is close: Bret & Larry L, then Rob Lane, Rob Witte.

Also around the Bret & Larry time there were a few smaller sites/photo collections like Alex Toth, Dave Hart, Ralph E.

Rob Lanes old Voodoo lounge was probably the very first C/J message board similar to this one...but on a smaller scale. It was very cozy back then.
