• Jackson Molded Cases

New member with another stupid question . I'm looking at the 2004 Jackson price list, and see two cases available with a new Dinky:

- JCC201 Molded Case Dinky ($89.95)
- JCC921 Molded Case Soloist/Dinky ($119.95)

Is there any real difference, or is one just larger than the other? I've looked for photos and details at several online stores, but its always the same stock pic and description for both...

Re: Jackson Molded Cases

I just bought a JCC201 for my Stratocaster (stock Strat body size) custom project. If fits fine. I believe it is for both Strat and Dinky body sizes according to what I've read. The foam in the case moves somewhat adjusting to the guitar body.

I was asking myself the same question not to long ago "Whats The Differance". I found a case on E-Bay so I never got an answer.

The JCC201 is a less expensive case, it doesn't have the Jackson logo on it and it's kind of a generic "fits any strat body" case. The JCC901 is a nice SKB case with a fitted interior and it has the Jackson logo molded into the upper half of the case.

Hope this helps!

Re: Jackson Molded Cases

i always thought there were a inner lenght difference at the different cases
for examlpe my model 6 is about 1/2 an inch too long to fit into the grey Jackson Chainsaw case my 88 CS dinky came with
but that´s just what i thought

Re: Jackson Molded Cases

The molded / fitted cases are not worth a damn IMHO ... depending on which model jackson you have it might not even fit! When it does fit its a very very tight fit I guess that could be a good thing - I personally prefer G&G cases, but the only ones I have are for fender strats - having a hell of a time getting them for my jacksons.

I have the case with molded logo. Snug fit, I love it, keeps my baby safe
