• test your knowledge (my mysterious guitars)

I know the story about my Jackson, but the Charvel is a bit of a mystery. I've had some advice on it's "likely" authenticity, but I'd like your views. By the way, it has no serial number, the pickups and scratch plate have been changed a few times, it used to have string trees, and the lacquer has been sanded off the back of the neck. I bought it in 1992.

      Well, nobody!

Unfortunately, it's not a great guitar, but a very good one.

The neck is not a perfect match for the body, and I could never get the action to play as good as the Jackson.

More like 5. They keep it that way so Ron won't run out of things to do.

If that's what's keeping him here, I'd figure they'd make it unlimited.

No worries -- I've got used to being hammered on Musicians Forums. Is it just me, or does that forum seem to be dominated buy 14 year olds?

Take the neck off to see any markings inside.

i'd like to see it without the pickguard, see what's under the hood there...since it has a rear control cavity...

looks like a nice neck...even though i am squinting to see anything!
