Re: test your knowledge (my mysterious guitars)

I've been told before that it's a "parts mutt", but it doesn't really bother me, because I knew I was taking risk buying a guitar without a serial number.

I've been told that the numbers inside the neck joint are order numbers. The body order number is 5089, and the neck is 5083 -- however, these numbers are written in lead pencil.

I'll try to post more pics later tonight

    Thanks

Both bodies would apprear to be dimarzio or Charvel parts bodies @ 1981-82 or whatever the dimarzio era was. Neck may or may not be Charvel but looks real close... Skunk is correct, ball looks fine. What is the spacing of the 12th fret dots? (Center to center, edge to edge) If the necks are Charvel they are newer than bodies. Parts for sure and modded. Body 2 has strange comfort bevel but body 1 looks correct. Need better pics to tell. If you are buying or selling these and want advice on pricing eMail me at [email protected]

Hope you got those pics. If you wanna put them on the forum, feel free.

The inlays are not pearl; they're either bone, abalone, plastic, or something, and they're 23mm apart, centre to centre

Love the Jackson! Interesting how someone would put a pickguard on it when it's rear-routed, though.

I will echo the request for some close ups.
