Man, these blade pickups ain't bad! If I change one it'd be the neck - gotta have a little less "Strat" tone - but the 2 bridge pickups rock!
As an added bonus, it came stock with a Special 5-way switch - which means I can rewire it any way I want - like:
1-Both
2-Outside full/inside split (or vice versa)
3-Both split
4-Neck split
5-Neck

or whatever, without having to remove anything [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

As for the chick, yeah she's a dog, but she's the only one I've seen that wasn't the redhead with the black slip [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]
Plus it's kinda hard to do a good small face with an airbrush [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

Hey Newc, don't you find the placement of the volume knob to be bothersome when sweep picking?

When I had my blonde chick warbird I would play rythym and the volume knob would be turned completey down by the time I played about 20 seconds.

Aside from that brincramp in the engineering stages of that guitar, I think my Warbird was my fav Jackson I ever owned.

Like you said. Those blades aren't bad and I loved the neck on it. Looking at a set of juggs in the middle of a solo is insentive for the guitar buyer also.. [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

Nice, a$$......errr.....axe, Newc! USA Warriors from that time period are fine examples of Jackson's originality and design. While Ken won't agree with me [img]graemlins/images/icons/tongue.gif[/img] , I love the stock Armstrongs in there. When you're playing alone at home in the bedroom you might find the tone to be lacking. But strike it up with the band at high volume and that Warrior sings. Do you notice a slight difference in the neck profile between your Warbird and Pearl Red? I have found that the Pro necks are a little fatter than the USA's of that time period. Congrats on a fine axe!

I haven't directly compared the two Warriors yet - gotta save something to do today [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
But I do notice it doesn't have the flat spot like the Pro does [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

And yes, Chuck, that knob is in the absolute wrong place unless you're George Lynch and never touch anything but the bridge [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I remember back when I got my first one...I couldn't put it down, and when I did...I just sat and gazed lovingly at it for hours...LOL!

FYI...the best position on the switch with the stock PU's is the 2nd position. It inverts the phase of the 2 bridge PU's, and gives you a somewhat fatter tone.
