In your last picture I can not discern the ledge. Can you show a different angle of that cavity. I am unsure if the bottom right screw is sitting on a standard lip or a larger ledge. If it is a correct ledge than I think it is a Dimarzio body double routed or Charvel with top route added later

I looked closely at your eMail pics and it as I thought, not a correct San Dimas era route. Comfort bevel is consistent with an early body but the route is the wroung ledge shape.

I see many examples of these routes and many were described to me as Charvel replacement bodies. I am unsure who made them.

                  The neck looks ok...

                    Thanks.

I continued to post the pics on the forum just to see if I could get it right, and to appease those that I annoyed with my crappy shots , but I'm having trouble with the host site shrinking the photos shortly after I "publish" them.

By the way, what is a "Chandler" body? Is it just another company like Boogie or Schecter?

Yes, Chandler is just another company which pumped out parts mostly and a few completed guitars. I am honestly no sure if they are still around, but recall that they were a good alternative if you wanted a budget Jackson back in the mid-late '80s.

photobucket.com, bro! and dust off the wallet and pay for extra storage there...you'll want it after you start relying on them for more and more stuff.

Thanks Chuck! I am not surprised. I knew someone who built a killer Sd copy back in the day - black with day-glo green drip pattern - out of a chandler body and neck. It was cheap and played great.
