Re: NAMM Pics... FINALLY!!
Trust me, they all look better in person...
To answer some questions: The RR that someone referred to as an LTD is actually one of the 25th anniversary RR's, as are the King Kelly and the silver King V. The doubleneck has a special strap with it that allows the guitar to be spun around, think ZZ Top and you'll get the idea. If my memory serves correctly the name of the copper/orange guitar is a Death Kelly (someone correct me if I'm wrong!). And the natural colored Soloist is called the Blood Drip Soloist. It's got a soft arch top and it's made out of burled mahogany that looks like blood dripping. The 4 natural korina guitars are a Shannon set and they're only being sold as a complete set.
This year all of the custom shop guitars are being sold to dealers on a lottery system. I put my name on a number of them (including some Charvels) and we'll see which ones I get.
Other than the guitars, I just got back from seeing George Lynch and Michael Shenker playing live at a small club in Long Beach. Yes... this is NAMM, isn't it!
Well, I've got a seminar to attend in a few hours and a hellish day scheduled for tomorrow. It was great to finally meet some of you today!
