Arrgghh: silver swirl, amber sunburst, yellow with gold pearl and silver sparkle have all gone.
Is it me or does it look like they are trying to make the non custom or graphic guitars more plain-jane (maybe trying to raise custom shop business?)

FYI - Those Dimebag Dean posters were gone fast. I grabbed one, went back a few hours later and they were gone. I will be updating my NAMM page of pics from now till early next week. Got a lot more to post.....

How many of those 54 finishes were actually worth looking at? What was cut? Yellow Gold Pearl, silver swirl, amber sunburst and a host of others that probably sold like a turd in a tuna can. I'd prefer to see the paint options streamlined and the Jackson line expanded. These new signature models look cool as can be, as do the reissues.

It would be great to see more hardware options, especially in the pickup selection. JB/'59, JB/Jazz, 81/85. [img]/images/graemlins/sleep.gif[/img]
Throw in some Customs or Distortions or even a Screamin' Demon. How about some of the kickin' DiMarzio's?

all I'm saying is that if that if you're gonna raise your prices (correct me if I'm wrong, but those ARE higher than they use to be yes?) and cosidering the legacy of Jackson/Charvel being the "get what you want" kinda guitar company, I'm just a little pissed!

I mean yes you can get exactly what you want from the CS, but I get just about exactly what I want from ANY custom shop, Ya dig?

Can anyone who's there either tell me or possibly take a pic of the logo on the headstock of the bengal bass? I've been pondering getting a custom shop bolt-on dinky with that paint scheme (since I can't seem to find a DK-1 with bengal finish anywhere) and I'm unsure what color of logo would look right over the tiger stripes. Yellow with gold pearl is gone? That´s a shame. I was just thinking about ordering a SL2H in that very finish. Too slow on the trigger, I guess.

All in all I´m not too impressed by all of this. The only guitars that caught my eye were the mapleboarded Charvels.

That would be OK if it were what was happening. Personally I don't have a ton of interest in the imports and just looking at the USA lineup gone are the: JJ2, all 3 Swee-Tones (Jazz'R, Archtop, & Bent-top), SLS Soloist, and SLATQH. Half as many finishes, half as many models, that truly sucks major ass.

Yep, I agree: if the range was expanded (warriors, death angels, XTRRs, single hums, string thru, maple boards etc) then I could live with the finish limitations far easier. The solid colours left may be the big sellers, but who gets excited about a white or black soloist, or a lightning sky.....
Still, they have far more marketing and sales knowledge than I do, so maybe they know something I don't! (like I said, maybe it's to push more folks down the custom route).
I noticed from the Charvel list that you can spec other finishes for a (fairly serious) price increase - seems strange to me that this doesn't appear to be offered on the Jackson line....
