Yep...I'm still pumped about that one. I actually did 6 different covers for that guitar before getting the right one. Bloodwood isnt easy to work with. Ironically, I didn't get any close up pics of it. Looks like I'll be doing some LTD batch run TR covers & some stuff for the CS, and possibly some for the USA line as well. Jackson & I are gonna talk more after things settle down.

Vwall & I got the CS tour on Wed. We toured the distibution center also. Met Mike Shannon & the guys at the CS...extremely cool day! Did anyone see "Da-Bomb" sign I made for the show? The Jackson guy's were gonna display it, but the 2-sided tape was too weak or something. Again I didnt get any pics (whats wrong with me ).

Vwall & I were driving to the show on Fri. We were sitting at a light on Harbor Blvd when the Ed Roman limo pulled up on our left. The rear window was down about an inch or so. Scott was like "Hey Ed....you in there?...."Ed....Ed". The window on the limo went down...then right back up. Maybe he thought it was Ron. We pulled up to the next light and the driver gave us a nasty stare. Looked like someone sideswiped it. The entire passenger side was wiped out. Too bad for Mr. Roman.

I met several JCF'ers on Thurs & Fri. That was cool to finally put names with a faces. I had to fly out on Sat morning, so I regretably missed the group pic....Maybe next year.

Awesome deal Doug! You deserve it! That is a sweet guitar. I'm sure it will be priced the same as the soft arch top from summer NAMM or even higher.

Hopefully Guitar Asylum doesnt get that one (they nabbed the last 7 layered neck) it would be way over priced.

LOL @ Scott& Ed - too funny.

That guitar was killer. It played great and the contour on the top was very comfortable and well done.

Guitar Asylum thankfully didn't get that one...definitely one of my top 5 favorite Jackson's at the show...the Bond RR is amazing...I'll be picking one up...they also had a prototype 24 fret 1 hum, string-thru RR there as well!

24fret 1hum RR?
I don't see that in these pics people have posted...
Joel do you have any pics of that model?

Re: NAMM Custom: \"Soft\" Archtop Soloist

I forgot to mention it's an import just like the Bond RR...unfortunately I didn't realize what it was until the 3rd time I was at the Jackson booth and didn't snap a pic of it. I don't think anyone really realized what it was since it was in the import section...the first axe on the bottom row and in plain black. The body is very light (like the Bond RR) and it seemed a little neck heavy...but it felt as good as the Bond. Lemme see if anybody snapped a pic of it.

And was it a bolt on?
If so, it could be one of variations of the import models that are already out for last couple of years...
BUT if a neck thru... that should be a killer guitar for sure!

No it's 100% neck-thru...exactly like the Bond RR, except string-thru (V plate), sharkfins, and all black. Had the Made in Japan sticker on the back of the headstock and the plaque on the wall said "Prototype".

Here's a pic courtesy of Donny...you can sorta see it...the first guitar right against the wall partition on the left.
