Dude...the music is good, and can even use a little polishing up, but the vocals are wayyyyyy too "cookie-monstrous" (IMO)

(And don't get me wrong...Cookie-monstrous vocals have their place...but these two don't seem to be a good match here)

Nope, just not my bag. To me those cookie-monstrous vocalists are the vocal equivalents of all of those de-tuned nu-metal guitar players, there's just something missing there and as a result their music just doesn't appeal to me. I did make it 1:45 into one of the songs on my second pass through though. That's probably some sort of record for me. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I liked the lyrics. Especially the bits regarding Schopenhauer's misogynistic polemic on the nature of woman.

I agree. I listen to a lot of death metal / black metal / other extreme metal and that was by far one of the absolute worst vocal performances I've EVER heard. I can sound like that by drinking a whole bunch of Dr. Pepper and then just burping. Riffing is decent but they need a new vocalist... Badly.

And you guys have it wrong... Dimmu Borgir's vocalist sounds like a goblin.
