Re: Ian/Jackson

Yeah, we used the holofoil posters for the JJ & AG. I think we bought 3 or 4 from eBay. Scott and I came up with the idea when Anthrax was in town. We had to jump through many a hook to convince WB to let us build the guitars, but it was worth it. IMO.

Also, as cool as the pictures of it look, nothing compares to seeing it in person. Amazing!

when and why did Scott stop playing Jackson and go to washburn?Did he get dropped?and why the hell did he leave Marshall for Randall for that matter?I haven't been keeping track of Anthrax since the departure of Joey so The washburn thing is new to me But I did know about the randall thing for a while now?

I'm sorry, but while that finish is cool, I think that guitar is not. Scott used to play some nice stuff. Just because he is bald now does not mean his taste in guitars has to suck! (And I am a huge old school thrx fan so what do you expect ).

Is the graphic only the front or the whole body?

I would LOVE to see that Matrix guitar in person one day, that would be so rad. Better yet, I wanna play it!

Mc-D, I'm glad that WB agreed to letting that graphic fly because it really looks excellent from the pictures. How cool it would have been to be a fly on the wall when y'all were discussing this project!

Mike, yeah... some like the shape of the JJ2 and some don't. I understand that, I suppose it's perhaps considered not so metal or too Gibson-esque... I dunno.
But I hope you can snag yourself a killer one eventually!!
I was surprised just how weighty and sturdy these guitars are, they definitely have meat to them! And ya just gotta love a string-thru.

I talked to Scott at NAMM, and while I didn't ask him that question, I did say something like.... Man, we need to get you back to playing Jackson's, he looked me straight in the eye and said, "not a fu**ing chance in hell" I think I touched a nerve with that statement... Scott really likes working with the guys over at US Music Corp. It's as simple as that. He and I enjoyed working with each other and had some really cool innovative ideas for the next phase of the JJ2, but before that happened, I was gone. Donnie Wade was gone. Etc.
