Anyway, to answer some questions:
1. The maple top on the CS is 3/4" thick. But since it's an archtop it slims down considerably towards the edge...about the width of binding. The binding is ivoroid in color.
2. #1420 is 100% original and no re-fin. I have the work order from the Jackson custom shop. I've been toying with the idea of getting a nice graphic put on it. I wouldn't do this if this was a Charvel, but none of the purists nor the market in general seem to care much about the Jackson logod guitars of that era (JMO). They seem to go pretty cheap on eBay.
3. Finally, NOTP, here is a picture of an invisible fence:
