Sorry to bombard you guys about all of this, but I'm going to see the guitar tomorrow. This is a 1-hum Charvel with a Jackson trem. The question is, is this necessarily a JT6 or could it be something else? I confirmed over the phone that it isn't a Schaller.

Re: Another question about the Jackson trem
The Schaller's are branded as Jacksons (JT-560??) so it might not be a JT-6. If it has the toothpaste logo then it's prob the Schaller. The White guitar logo ones (For the most part) had Kahler's (86) and JT-6's (87-88)

Re: Another question about the Jackson trem
If the tuners are behind the saddle and not on top it's a JT6. The Schaller is the Jackson 590. The JT6 is by no means a worst case scenario. They didn't build it from the best possible materials and it doesn't have the better Floyd style nut. With that said it is still an excellent tremolo. I prefer the JT6 fine tuners over the regular Floyd style myself. I pick similar to Lynch with my hand right on the bridge. The JT6 has no fine tuners to worry about taking out of tune.We must!
We must!
We must increase the bust!
The bigger the better!
The tighter the sweater!
The boys are counting on us!

Re: Another question about the Jackson trem
In case you guys missed it on the Import Charvel forum, I bought it at lunch today for $100.00 out the door, including taxes. Here are some pics:

Re: Another question about the Jackson trem
Looks like a JT6 trem to me. Damn, for $100.00 I don't think you could go wrong. Nice looking Charvel you have there Powertube.KV DM PRO, SLSXMG, RRXMG, DXMG, LP P90 Goldtop_GSP1101_RM4: JF SL-OD100_Randall RT2/50_Peavey 4x12 cab
I'm loving the Jaded Faith mods. Going Egnater Dual mod route: Voxless, SL-OD100, Brahma #39, QuickMod GT

Re: Another question about the Jackson trem
Thanks, guys. Yeah, it is indeed a JT-6. Just on a whim, after I got it home tonight I dropped the bar all the way down until the strings were hanging freely. When I brought it back up, it was still perfectly fine-tuned!

Of course, I won't make a habit of doing that since I don't hit the bar that much, anyway.Member - National Sarcasm Society

Re: Another question about the Jackson trem
By the way, I thought about this after the fact. Just so I don't mislead anyone, it didn't come with a case. That's my old Kramer case which I took to work with me today, just in case (pun intended) I needed it, which I did.
