One of the biggest things I've noticed about my Persuader Lead Customs yesterday was the clarity and articulation when I was playing "Holy Wars" and "Hangar 18". The palm muting gallops were very clear and stood out perfectly...I'm happy with mine. I've just gotta figure out which guitar to throw the next pup into.
They're really like way better improved EMG's...and no battery is required!
I hope this is not too late, but could I get a tracking number or something for my shipment? I had a Persuader Lead ( I think ) for Alex Johnson.
Installed my pickup in my prepro last night and I'm experiencing a little hum as if my persuader lead was only a single coil (moving guitar around causes more/less hum). Here is what I had done. I kept the red/green wires tied together and wrapped some electrical tape around the bare ended. I soldered the white and the ground wires to the ground of my output jack which is soldered to the brass cavity plate. I soldered the white end to the original 500k pot. I think I followed the instructions but am I missing something here? Also, my prepro is a single pickup/single pot setup.
I've got two of the "200" single coils. I haven't received my pickups in the mail yet, but stuff usually takes a while to get to my anyways, so I'm not worried. They're going to go into the neck and middle positions of my Shannon Soloist. I will also be directly comparing the Persuader Lead with the Persuader Lead Custom in the bridge position of that same guitar under the same settings/conditions and giving a useful review there.

you should be connecting this pickup in series because its a single hum 1 volume setup.
series wiring:
you need to re-wire and solder green to white and tape off. black to ground . and red to hot . the unsheilded wire should go to a common ground like the back of the volum pot (the unsheilded wire and the black wire can go to the same place.)
and keep the bridge (string) ground from the back of the pot to the bridge intact.
right now you've got your coils split and are only using one.
if this confuses you call mel. he'll be happy to assist.
