imo, no.

i saw dave's in person, and actually had thought about doing something like that for myself. i love les paul gold tops, and i remember curt jokingly referring to it as the ugliest firebird in existence. i didn't think that until i saw it. i was pretty disappointed b/c i thought that would have been killer.

on a related note, the headstock for yours has been cleared today. tomorrow will be re-logo and clear, leaving wetanding and final wiring and setup to happen this week, fo sho.

A wrap tailpiece would be really nice! As far as color, sounds like you want something "traditional" but you might want to check out the sparkle paints that GMP are using. I am liking them more and more. www.gmpguitars.com
