Re: A strange guitar

Is the neck made in Japan(I doubt about it as I've never encountered "TM" after "Jackson" on the head of the neck. The guitar itself arouses distrust,I should say

Re: A strange guitar

The guitar is made in a "custom shop" in the Ukraine .The pickups "reflex"(never heard of the trademark) are made in England, the bridge-"Takeuchi" cannot be identified at all.And there is a kind of a self-made booster installed, let alone the body-the biggest mystery to me.And,of course,
the neck, which was sent by post by Groover and his friend Charvel.By the way,how much would you give for this instrument?

not much, really.

the story about the neck being sent via mail by grover jackson and wayne charvel is totally untrue. that neck was made in japan, and is mated to the body (that i'm assuming the ukranian custom shop that you mentioned made). the takeuchi bridge is okay, but not the greatest, and the finish leaves a little to be desired in my eyes.

i don't mean that to sound insulting, and if it's your guitar, i hope that you enjoy playing it, but it's not really worth much as a whole guitar.

To JimmyApollo: the neck turned out to be made in the Ukraine as well, except for the plastic cover plate"Jackson"!

To Jsullysix: that is the different between the 2 nations: the sense of humor.Did you really think that I was talking seriuosly about Groover&Wayne's "parcel"?It's a JOKE I was just trying to cheer all up.
As for the guitar,I own Jackson DKMG and the very guitar isn't mine. The Russian guy,who owns it tried to identify the instrument, and it has already been done-even the master, who had made it was found.
P.S I've recently sent you the letter with the request to help me somehow with the full info concerning the history of Jackson/Charvel guitars.Have you any idea where I can find it?

ahhhh, gotcha. i was unsure if the groover thing was a joke, or an english error. personally, groover is pretty damn funny.

there's lotsa places you can get a history lesson, and if you'd like a nice charvel background, www.usacharvels.com is a site you may like. also check www.jacksonmuseum.com. that's another good one.
