• Is this a lefty ESP or a Charvel

Hello,

Thanks for your assistance in advanced!!!

Were Charvel’s were available with a rounded Hockey Stick style headstock?

The reason I'm asking is.... lefty guitar over at Ebay (is not a Kramer)… it is either a George Lynch Signature series ESP or Charvel.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...item=936460048

The volume knob is dead center to the bridge pickup, as in a Charvel, the ESP’s were off center and closer to the tremolo…. but the headstock is a rounded hockey stick style… like an ESP.

Thanks again,
Anthony

I THINK,this is a ESP Lefy Mirage or Lefty Japanese Charvel Dinky with Kramer Explorer type neck.

To be a Lynch model, the body shape is not right.

The headstock seems to be angled that is so unusual for ESP Lynch model.
Also I think this neck can be from Kramer.
The dot markers on side seem like fro the right handy neck.

Maybe someone tried to build Lynch model by using Warmonth or something.

I would say, this is a ESP Mirage body with Kramer neck. Very confusing!

Re: Is this a lefty ESP or a Charvel

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

After looking at dozens of photos… I did find one photo of a Charvel bass for sale with this type of rounded headstock and old style Charvel logo online.
http://www.jcguitars.com/charexpb.JPG

Did Charvel actually sell guitars with this rounded style headstock (Kramer like)?

I had two friends email me telling me that the ESP bodies had the volume knob toward the tremolo… the one in the Ebay ad is more like a Charvel body, with the knob dead center to the bridge.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated. No rush, there’s still two days left until the auction ends.

Thanks again,
Anthony

I can't figure out the body, but I'm pretty sure it IS a Kramer neck.

mmm...Explorer type Charvel neck?? I have never heard of that but must be rare if you find one.
And with a ESP body??

It could be a Japanese Charvel body.

Very hard to tell...

But do you want this beat up guitar anyway???

There were some protoype Jacksons with that type of headstock, but I doubt this is one of them. It looks like a Kramer to me. My friend has an Epiphone Strat copy with a headstock like that, too.

It is not a Charvel of any kind...look at control cavity......Charvel never had an cavities like that...import or domestic as far as I know.-Lou

Yeah, there's nothing charvel about that guitar.

I believe the neck pocket is also wrong for a lynch. looks warmoth.

A lot of the old Kramers were made by ESP anyway, so it could be sort of both.
