Nice. How many boxes of Crunch'n'Munch did you have to go through before completing it?

Check out the nice chunk of paint my cat removed near the three way switch by climbing onto a shelf and knocking over a homade v trem onto the body! I'm still kickin myself for that one.

It's going to be a great playing ax. I haven't even givin it a setup yet and it feels good. You should have it sometime next week Wayne (how many times in the past month have I told you that)!

That box of Crunch 'n' Munch was bought at the Fleet Center (Bruins Game)in Boston and autographed by the famous Dave Kerpen the crazy crunh'n'munch vender(you'd know if you were a Bruins or Celt's fan). In light of the current state of the NHL, that guys signature is worth a hell of a lot more than any NHL Player!

Congrats on getting a neck hooked up to the body. Looks great. Did the neck have to be modified or did it match up? Definitely looks cool and I'm sure it sounds/plays just as good as it looks.

Thanks guys !
The neck seemed to fit well when I did the test fit. I think there was a little wiggle room, but not bad. Jim can tell you if any shaving was needed. I also lucked out in getting the Schaller on eBay.
Partntz145 - yep - the body is an import, they were made by Caparison I believe. On their site, there is one line where all of a sudden "Doug Aldrich" pops out. Also, based on the paint job (VERY similar to the Caparison I had) and the shape of the heel on the back of the body.
That is also why I posted here, since she really isn't an import, and really isn't a US ..

Re: Doug Aldrich/DK1 Mutt

The neck was a little snug which was fine, but the finish on that guitar is pretty fragile, so I sanded the neck pocket walls a little bit so I wouldn't chip the paint squeezing it in there. The neck holes had to be pluged and re-drilled. It was time consuming, but it went togother pretty well.
