Program to create 5.1 mixes?

not sure if right forum...

I have a home theater setup, and i'd like to make my own intro clip... kind of like the THX... so what i'd like to do is have the Intro to Paradigm Shift moving between the speakers (front L-> R, to back R -> L ...) panned hard, and gradually centered...then faded.. timed with a THXish logo (AZN... its funny!).. then fade into the main movie...

the question is... does anyone know of software to create the sound field?

I think there are also Plugins for Cubase that allow you to do that as well [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

does anyone have this software around? I dont want to download a trial, or worse, buy it, for 1 small project.. if someone can help me with it, it'd be MUCH appreciated

Nuendo, definitely.

Cubase SX can do this, no plug-in required - and you can work with the video right in there so the timing's right... Nuendo is roughly the same, but costs (even) more money...
