  • Help Identify this Jackson

I have a gentleman trying to sell me what he claims to be a DK2. Black body is the same as a DK2, reverse headstock, but it is a dual humbucker guitar. All DK2's were S/S/H, correct? What model would have been the same, but H/H.

Dinky body, reverse headstock, and two humbuckers...sounds like a DX10 to me, too. However, if the inlays are dots instead of Sharkfins, its probably a JS1 ("budget" Dinky).

Sorry I don't have photos anymore or I would post for you to look at. How is a DX10 if that is what it is. I am really looking for something with single coils for a different sound. I already play an SG and LP Custom.

DXMG maybe? if it has passive emg's that is.. unless they've been swapped.

I think its just the dual humbucker version of a DK2 (H/S/S), except with unbound neck, reverse headstock, and reverse sharkfin inlays. So comparable in quality to a DK2 I guess. You've seen photos? Did it look like this: http://www.jacksonguitars.com/gear/g...inky_Firestorm

Just make sure its not a JS1: http://www.jacksonguitars.com/gear/g...rtno=JS1_Dinky
