Saw some PC1 pics on here...looks like the body was varnished...mine is totally unfinished...Quilted maple etc...but wonder if this is odd? [img]/images/graemlins/nono.gif[/img]

Maybe because it is not a PC1.
Yours could be PC3.
Does yours say Made In U.S.A. on the headstock or the neck plate?

did any PC3s come with an unfinished body? Any that I've seen were gloss finished

Maybe it's a satin finish? I have a 99 Jackson flyer and the natural PC3 pictured is very flat and dull.

Yea, that is what I thought of.
I played PC3s at GC in 90's and they fely like Satin finish to me too.

There was a PC1 in a natural/satin/oil type of finish at Namm..man did that thing resonate!

Is it one of the "au natural" ones? Not 100% sure, but I believe they have an oil-finished body. All of the other colors have a hard clearcoat.

My PC-2 is oil finished. I always thought the PC-1's in au natural would be the same

Yep, Au Natural PC-1's don't have a hard finish, hence the name 'Au Natural' !...Here's mine....

[/ QUOTE ]Yes sir!!! I had 3 and all came with a JB and classic stacks. I've since sold 2, and kept this one for myself. Swapped the JB for a Custom 5 that I honestly like much better in this guitar.
