You all need to start posting some more interesting stuff. I've been through the last couple of pages on this, the Jackson US, Jackson Import, Other Dealers and evilBay boards and I've replied to just about everything that interested me.

How am I ever going to get to 100 freaking posts so I can see the classifieds and start hunting for *the* guitar unless the rest of you start posting better threads? Except charvette...no more 80s flashback stuff, man. Seeing those shirts and pants made me all misty eyed, thinking of my first wife. The plea for 'better threads' was meant in jest.

I am seriously enjoying reading all the posts here. I know more about Jackson/Charvel than I would have ever thought possible, not being a much of a shredder (or player, some might say) and not having been much into the, uh, metal bands of the 80s. I may, or may not, end up with a Jackson, but learning the history of the brand has been fascinating.

I apologize if anyone took offense at what was intended as a light-hearted post.

YetAnotherOne: Holy smokes. I've never seen a SLATQM before. I'm assuming the sunburst one in the front is it. If it is...that's smoking. What is the blue quilt top with the mini-buckers to the right of it? I like the natural 'binding' on the body. Are those stock knobs with or aftermarket? Looks like they have MOP in the tops. Lastly...is that a Wolfgang on the left?

Nothing wrong with the Wolfgang. I never bonded with the model, though. I do have a Cropper in just about the same color blue and it's one of my favorites. Only complaint I have is that the flame in the top (of mine) is weak. But, it plays nice, so I won't complain too much.

L-to-R those are a Wolfgang, Soloist, Jazz'R, & SLATQM (back row with the mini-hums). And yep those abalone-topped knobs are stock on that model.

The SLATQM is the blue guitar the Amber one is a Jazz'R.They both have been discontinued.Here is a pic of a Soloist Pro in blue.
