• 2 Hums (1V-1T-3 way) or 1 Hum (1 V)????

I'm stuck trying to decide what I want for a "special" project...either 2 Hums and 1V - 3 way toggle - 1T setup in a line, or keep it simple with 1 Hum and 1 V...
I personally don't really use neck pups too often and the guitar is going to have a "special" top on it. I'm wondering if I should go with 1 Hum to show the top off more...it's a string-thru KV.

1 Hum with tone and volume on a concentric pot. I seriously don't know how all you guys get by without a tone control. When I'm playing loud, I need to back it off to 7 or so on the bridge PU.

What Budman said

I'd add a neck pickup to my Shattered Glass Star but it'd screw up the graphic

I have been leaning towards a comprimise, 2 Hum, 1 vol. 3 way (forget the tone) like my old charvels.

After 15 years of having cymbals crashing in my ears, I cant even hear the difference between a neck or bridge humbucker anymore..
The only use I have for 2 hums is if they both have seperate vol knobs, then I can have the neck pickup set really low and toggle between settings..

1 hum, volume, no tone (I turn that up all the way anyways )

Besides I have enough dual hum guitars.

Thanks guys Your opinions helped very much! 1 Hum - 1 Vol it is!

i'd go 2 hums 1v 1 3way blade

no tone knob.

I kinda like 2 hums as opposed 1 hums.

Ohhh, a string-thru KV...

since you say "special top", I vote for 1 hum, 1 Vol as well.
Just to back up the decision you already made.

I voted 2 hum, not that it matters. I like having the neck pickup usually.

Do as I did on the 007 Soloist. 1 Hum, 1 vol with push/pull coil tap

How about 1Hum No knob?

Full-On Metal Assault, baby, with nothing between the pickup and the jack. Throw a Dunlop High Gain Volume Pedal on the floor if ya want Volume control

Maybe 1Hum with a Kill Switch and no knob or the Dunlop pedal?

Heck, get an old Morley Wah pedal with the on/off switch on the side of the rocker pedal and have someone monkey it up to be a momentary switch that does the "machine gun" on/off thing, with the Rate linked to the pedal so you can get fast or slow "gunning".
