Re: Blast From The Past, My Charvel Pics

Wow big thanks guys. Didnt know at the time I was buying part of metal history. All I knew was I wanted a cool guitar like Eddie V and Randy. She would be s/n 2108 all original , no mods, cept the Sam Ash sales rep screwup. It was to come with a Duncan Distortion, but when I got it, it had a Dimarzio, so as soon as I got it home I put the correct p/u in. The guitar has been that way ever since.

As for the Marshall's, All JCM 800 50w preamp I had 4 heads, one white chnl switching. I think at different times 4 or 6 cabinets. The pics show at leat 3 full stacks from what I remember. Always connected at least 2 heads and 4 cabinets. I think at the time I was using a BOSS OD-1 and 12 band graphic eq. Thr singal was split with a MXR stereo chorus, that went into the second head.

I still have 1 head and 2 cabinets

            Thanks
            Larry

Re: Blast From The Past, My Charvel Pics

Guys thanks for all the cool responces. The band and pics where taken early 80s before all the hair metal bands. I left the band around 86' so any pics would have to be between 83' and 86' my guitar was built in march of 83'
I did have a great time during this era playin live. Having a great guitar "Charvel" and great amps "Marshall" was big part of my sound. Altho I don't like bringing the guitar out anymore, I did record with it recently.

This is a link to "Children Of The Grave" I used the Charvel, Digitech Metal Master, Ibenez 100w Tone Blaster head, and one Marshall 4x12 cabinet. Its amazing how this guitar still kicks major butt!
