I did a search for these but couldn't find any of the old threads...Who here picked one of these up last year? And who has pics? [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I want to add a floydless guitar to my arsenal so I wanna find one of these, but I think it's gonna be a tough and long search...

Hey Dumpy, what kind of price niehborhood were you looking at? There is a shop close to me that has a beautiful red flame SLSMG. Brand new, right at under $1000 US. If interested let me know. I would be happy to score it for you and ship it. I have drooled on it a couple of times (it will clean right off). It is am absolute dream to play!

I had one. It was real nice.. too bad it was from Musicians Friend. It had a crack in the neck. Or maybe thank god it was from MF so I could return it.

I have a trans black one, there were pics of it here, but they´re probably down now.
It´s sleeping in it´s case waiting for new pick up´s at the moment.
Pretty cool axe I think.

I love the flametops. Finding a red one cheap made me bite the bullet. Playing it is easy and fantastic, its shreds and rocks, and more. Its also the only one in aus I know about. Heres plenty of fresh flametop porn, just after I got it.

Anyone else try the SLSMG neck heavy?, thats about the only thing that bothered me about that guitar...

The more I play mine, the more I feel it is a bit neck heavy, which I guess is starting to bother me a little bit. I need to try a new strap for it - hopefully a good leather one will help out, because otherwise it is a smoking guitar.

Aldog, I definitely think its a great guitar, Im not trying to trash it. I have few guitars that are "perfect".... actually I dont think I have any....

I had a red one last year and it was killer but for the money, I like my Ibanez SZ520QM more. Nicer neck, real maple top and much more LP/PRS like. Last but not least, it was about $150 cheaper. The SLSMG is nice though. Just depends on what you like.
