Guitar Shopping in LA

So I flew to LA yesterday and today shopping for used Charvels, didn't buy anything but found the following stores to be the most useful:

1) Neal's Music Huntington Beach
2) Guitar Center Hollywood
3) Sam Ash Hollywood

The coolest shop I know of is Norm's rare guitars in Tarzana. He specializes in the cool collectables (i.e., pre CBS Fenders, etc). He can hunt down just about anything you want...for a price, of course.

I've only been to GC in Hollywood, but have heard about West LA Music. Did you try them? They have 2 locations. I think this guy deals mainly in rentals, but he also sells on Ebay. Andy Brauer He has a lot of vintage eye candy on his site.

yeah I heard about Norm's but when I called them they said they didn't have any Charvels. Is there someone specific I should ask for who can "hunt down anything" including a Charvel Model 6 or 750xl for me?

Also, forgot to mention I went to this pawn shop on Santa Monica blvd where they had displayed next to the cash register a newspaper clipping of Robbin Crosby's (from Ratt) death in 2002. When I asked the guy if Robbin Crosby sold his guitars to them, he just respectfully ignored the question and said "he was a good friend of ours and we were sad to see him go". Interesting...

My step mom knows Norm from way back when. She spoke very highly of him and its definitely worth stopping by to check out his place.
