After having relieved myself of all things Jackson several years ago, I haven't played a Jackson seriously for a long time, and to be honest, nothing really appealed to me anyway. Warriors and RRs are too small, and nothing else is really pointy enough. I toyed with the idea of a custom shop akin to Dan Fastucas Fastar (but neck-thru of course), but alas, I am married with children, so it's difficult for me to blow 3 grand on a guitar. However, on a whim, I purchased a Japanese made KV4 on Ebay a while back, that was brand new, but had a repaired headstock, and no hardware. (very cheap I might add)Well, after taking it to my local guitar repair guru (Freddy Gabrsek) and having him touch up the neck, I put on all new black hardware, and I have to say emphatically, that this guitar is a work of art. I would say that I have roughly $420 invested in this thing, and it is one of the best guitars I have ever played. I have a Duncan Custom in the bridge position, and it sounds like GOD.
Notice the awesome truss rod cover from Huntin Doug!
By the way, I got that Schaller Floyd for $12.50 off Ebay.
