Don, I recommend that review the UPS claim process. If the shipment was insured (I really hope so), then YOU can start the claim process, they will then arrange pick up of the guitar/packaging and send it back to the shipper with no out of pocket costs to you.
At that point, you have documentation that the guitar got back to the seller. Then use the chargeback if you have to.
