  • Fusion "Jackson Professional" USA or Japan?

I've always been told "Professional" on the headstock=Made in Japan. Is this true?

    Example. I won this auction:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

The neck is a Fusion, bound ebony fretboard, MOP sharkies and MOP Jackson logo. Has the word "Professional" so it is a Japan neck, right?

I'm getting confused because I'm seeing people saying "USA" or "San Dimas" on guitars with "Professional" on the headstock.

I was in a Sam Ash and the had a "1983 RR1 made in San Dimas" with "Professional" on the headstock, for $2K. Are they wrong?

    Thanks,

    Don

That's right, Japanese made Jackson Professional guitars began manufacture in 1990, and 90's Japan is a LONG way from early 80's California. A lot of distance, and some time travel is needed to make that guitar's description ring true.

[/ QUOTE ] Quite wrong, as Model88 stated. Professionals are Japan made.
