    Why are people so F'in stupid????

    I'm trying to buy a body on ebay. I ask the sellers "What scale length (25 1/2" or 24 3/4"), and is the body designed for 22 or 24 frets?"

    I get back:

    "The body will work with 22 or 24 frets".

    I ask someone "Can you mesure from the nut to the 12th fret. I need to know if it's 12 3/8" or 12 3/4"".

    I get beck:

    "It's 14.5 inches to the 24th fret"

    FOLLOW DIRECTIONS DAMNIT!!!!

    And 1/2 the people out there can't figure out a DKMG from a DXMG, What is made in the USA vs. Japan or else where.

    You can't trust anyone!!!

    Has anyone bought something on ebay, asked the people what it is, and buy it based on what they told you, only to find out they didn't have a clue? Then what?

    yes, people are stupid. i teach school and the kids can't/won't read or follow directions, so it's no wonder that they don't as adults.
    GEAR:

    some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

    some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

    and finally....

    i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

      Just don't buy stuff on E-bay.
      That's already a stupid thing to do since most of these sellers will not answer correctly/promptly.

          The worlds full of them, you'll just need to get used to it, unfortunately.

          As a buyer of anything, you can't assume the seller knows the details of what it is that they are selling, you are the buyer, you have to do your own homework [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

            Most of the time the sellers are genuine but simply ignorant of the facts. Or they think they know what you mean but have no clue. Pawnshops are the most likely to be this way. They have good intentions but just don't know what they're selling. Which works to your favor sometimes when they have a dirty San Dimas on the rack and think it's worth $100 or so.

                I think there should be a season! Two per day limit. You can't count on anything a seller tells you. Most honestly have good intentions, but are just ignorant. Like the guys that just KNOW they are selling a USA made Jackson becuase the neck plate says "Fort Worth, Texas." Make them send you pics.

                  Another way to look at it is this: everyone is F'in stupid about something - in fact, most people are F'in stupid about most things. Sure, most of you know the difference between a distortion pedal and a guitar case. But, I'm pretty sure if we went around the room and asked enough questions we'd easily find out at least a few things that each person is F'in stupid about.
