Re: Site problems

[ QUOTE ]
used to how? Before it was changed to limited 9 months? That was something that was changed when the board was upgraded.. so we can't fix that ..

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually, the search function I believe Alex is refering to is having to do with being able to view your previous posts or another users posts without limitations.

Prior to the overhaul you could click on a name, search that persons posts, go back to the name and it was not limited to a 'time search'. ...because when the board switched over again to its latest format the error message became cannot make a search at this time, please try again later -(or to that effect.)

Now I go to search on my prior posts to check responses and I get some error syntax garbage that the system doesn't like my request. It won't even allow me to do it which is seemingly worse than it was in the prior format-at least then it seemed to work. It seems there may be still a glitch to be debugged.

So I am assuming when it is mentioned as to "how it was before".. it really is applying to how the search is limited in being timed out rather than in the # of months. Before a person could refer to their posts or another users posts immediately without the " please try again later " page popping up.

So, I was wondering if the old format could be reinstated as well.

That WOULD be nice, not having to wait forever and a day to be able to run the next search (Although I think I understand the reasoning behind it...)

This is what I'm getting when I click on all this user posts for myself:

Re: Site problems

I'm still getting a syntax error on all searches. I'm not sure if this is isolated to me personally or if others have issues with it.

Again, it is starting to act strange.
Showed some errors and then now ok.

I think J needs to run the upgrade script again. Everything should be fine, server side anyway.
