Re: Anybody know what\'s up with JC Guitars?

The inventory changes,as I said, some of the items are already sold, just hasn't been updated as his main focus is getting the new store established!!His prices are set high but, they're negotiable & he's great about trade-ins!!

Glad to hear the prices are negotiable because I just looked through the site and the prices are steep. When you buy a guitar from him, does it come set up like Rich at Ibanezrules does?

I've picked up several guitars from Justin in the past, and he's always willing to haggle, and gives you more than anyone I've ever met on trade-ins. I ordered my first Soloist from him, and requested it come with Duncans. He installed them, wrapped up the old pickups, put them in the case, and shipped it to me perfectly setup, no extra charge.

so maybe that's why he hasn't answered and emails, i've tried to contact about some stuff, but don't hear back.
So it seems like he is pretty reliable, and his stuff is pretty good? Any neg. stuff about dealing with him?

None that I'm aware, He used to be a member here but only stopped in on occassion. Several guys here have done deals with him and I know a few of the amdins know him .. His prices are high but his does give a good value in trade as was mentioned ...

That one is sweet...the original owner had it repainted by a guy who paints custom Harleys. Jack Frost bought it off that guy, then later ended up selling it to Justin along with most of his other Jackson's.

LOL! That's a lot of changing hands, makes me wonder if it just looks cool and sounds like dirt? Have you ever played it?

I don't think Justins prices are higher than most other dealers. He needs to leave room for bargaining and trades. Most dealers I know feel like they left some money on the table if they sell something right away. Also, it's getting tougher for a dealer to make a buck as Ebay makes selling at retail accessible for most people now.

It's easy to make a few dollars on a guitar occasionally as a private seller. I'd be hard pressed to make a living at it. Not many dealers can stay in business long term let alone enjoy some basics like a retirement plan, dental plan, etc.

I just got a 750 XL from him on a trade ,excellent condition you just have to e-mail him as to what he has in stock ,he packs his guitars well for shipping and I had no problems at all one of the best guitars I own other that the one I got from another web guitar guy .Justin at JC'S is great to deal with just drop him a n e-mail or call him in the morning you won't be disappointed.

He has added a couple of guitars up recently. I check that site quite a bit...mostly window shopping though.
