[ QUOTE ]
SITs have a special pack for Kahler that have soldered balls, and plastic wraps on the thin strings. This prevents the strings from moving in the saddles............

Cool, this may have to become my new string of choice. GHS used to make reinforced Boomers for Kahlers, and I was sad to see them go.

Ernie Ball makes some strings for Kahlers too - RPS.

Isn't making strings for kahlers like making headlights for edsels?

There are actually people out there that USE Kahlers, though.

The debate rages on.

I agree with the posts above regarding the stability and feel of a kalher. I have them on a LPC as well all my old SD Charvies. Its kinda like the "real" trem for people who like v-trems or tune-o-matics. Put another way, it is the trem that goes real nice on guitars that traditionally use a tune-o-matic or v-trem IMHO.

Another reason to use kahlers is that you will be hard pressed to find an SD Charvel (not snatched up by the usual suspects) without one!

please don't put it into words, 'cause I fear what you're thinking
