I've got a big name if I don't shorten it I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

Re: any big name players on the board??
You know what's weird about this? For the most part, the big name guys aren't head over heals crazy about their gear like us C/J freaks are. J.E. Lee was often asked his opinion of his old Charvels and he brushed off the questions, like he was annoyed at it. Randy loved his Jacksons, but he was into Gibson too, and liked customs such as his Sandoval. He referred to his V's as "Charvels" anyway. I hear George Lynch is a gearhead and pretty easy to talk to about guitars. But it's probably no coincidence that we really don't have guys like Phil Collen posting here everyday. Sure, we don't have a life, but those stars do! "Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,
Gotta get away from here.
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear..."

Just because I don't post very often doesn't mean I have a life, mate. Sure recording and touring with Def Leppard take a lot of my time, but I'm still a gearhead like you guys. By the way, what do you all think of my signature axe? Pretty sweet, huh? I was going for the Les Paul feel on the neck, etc. Anyways, it's been nice chatting with you blokes, but I'm onstage in a few and I still have to practice my warm-up exercises. Cheerio now

Re: any big name players on the board??
DOH! sorry i opened my mouth now....nah, what i was getting at was..do players who make it big still keep in touch with the grass root players who have a mutual affection of the same brand of instrument (via forums like this)especially for feedback on products? with u.s.a. charvels and jacksons being relatively expensive guitars, your not gonna buy one unless you realy want one or you get an endorsement deal. i appreciate there are people out there who see a guitar as a tool..and treat it as such, but i think the majority of musicians love and cherish their instruments to the point of obsessive? and in my opinion if your a rockstar you'll have the same love of your instrument as the guy who only plays in his bedroom. after all if we didn't dig it...we wouldn't do it!yeah it was me, you got a problem with that?

Glen Drover from King Diamond/Eidolon/Megadeth used to post here. I believe one of the guys from Wrathchild America/Souls At Zero used to post here, too. Can't recall who else offhand.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Damn, must have been before my time - I know both Terry and Jay, but we've long since lost touch. Sorry I missed that...
