      I just checked the tracking info and as of 12:33 this afternoon it's
      "REGISTERED WITH CLEARING AGENCY;SHIPMENT SUBMITTED TO CLEARING AGENCY;RELEASED BY CLR AGENCY. NOW IN-TRANSIT"

      That beotch was supposed to call me today and give me an update....hmmm wonder why she hasn't called yet??? I'm going to give her a ring (I know she probably doesn't want to speak with me though [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] But I still was something in writing SIGNED that says the guitar was perfect when they inspected it....I dont' trust those bastards at UPS or the government!

              Thanks guys! Yeah...you should have seen the look on my face on Sat. when she's telling me I need the genus and species names and the country of origin for the mother of pearl inlays. I could not f'n believe it! Words cannot describe what I felt. I ask her...how can I find out that information...."I don't know call the manufacturer"....like that's really f'n simple to do...like they all know the genus and species names and what country it's from.....my Gawd...I get so pissed when I think about it. It's so frustrating speaking with her too....she would not listen to anything I had to say......

              I sure as hell hope it arrives here safe and sound and perfect...for their sake...cause I'm so ready to go balls out on this whole ordeal if there is any damage whatsoever...anywhere on this V.

                  I just checked the update on UPS and yes it has been released by the Agency and in Transit.
                  This same signs shows when the custom in Mexico releases my guitars.
                  So Joel should be receiving the guitar within 2days.

                  This whole UPS deal sucks as this never happened to me.
                  I shipped so many guitars the same way and some had MOPs and Abalone inlays and never was a problem before.
                  It usually takes 3-5business days to receive my packages.

                  I hope you get the guitar ASAP!

                    I just want to iterate that Toru is AWESOME to deal with...it's UPS that BLOWS crusty deformed ballsack! I will never deal with UPS ever again in my life...and I'll make sure I request FedEx for every important package I receive. So far it's been 11 days since Toru shipped the package...and 4 1/2 days of those it's been in KY.
                    I'll keep the updates coming...hoping to see the package tomorrow when I arrive home from work.

                        Take half the day off and stand there waiting for it - at this point there's no telling IF they'll even drop it off, or if they do, whether they'll give it to some passing crackhead or the neighbors loading up a moving van headed for Colorado [img]/images/graemlins/brow.gif[/img]

                        I think this is the absolute worst UPS incident I've seen, despite the damage reports. At least those you could explain as Samsonite Apes, but a Fish And Game issue for something that will see neither woods nor waterways? [img]/images/graemlins/brow.gif[/img]

                          I totally agree and AFTER you get it, I would file a complaint. Maybe you'll uncover some BS and get some tool bag fired for it.

                          So what was it that made them just release it? Or did they just do it on there own? This stinks of a scam real bad (to me anyway).

                            It was never an issue.
                            According to UPS, they just needed to make sure of what they are and ask few questions about it.
                            Custom Agencies are always like this.
                            One time, I was getting bunch of stuff in a box from Music123 and one Guitar cable was missing.
                            So what happened? The custom didn't want to release the box until I get a new receipt that shows the correct # of the goods.

                            Anyway, I wonder how they repacked the package to release the guitar.
                            I used bunch of bubble wraps to protect the guitar case and hope they used the same material and same way to repack it.
                            I hope it doesn't arrive without a box or something...

                                The only thing that doesn't sit well with me is the comment about destroying the guitar if Joel does not supply the info about the MOP.

                                As long as Joel gets it in as packed shape by Toru, I guess everything else just gravy.
