• San Dimas Strathead Neck Specs

I was wondering about the specs of the San Dimas Strathead neck, as I was hoping to find a similar or exact copy at Warmoth. Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks.

You won't find one at Warmoth. Check the USA Charvel section. This question has been asked like a million times.

Actually check the Guitars By Other Manufacturers section and do a search for customwoods.

Actually it's been stated and proven dozens of times that the Stratheads did not have a set standard like the pointies did and do today - each one was hand-shaped and because of that no two are identical. They might be similar but they would be different enough to notice, so you can't just say it was 'this' at the 3rd fret and 'that' at the 12th - you'd hafta find one you liked and have it duplicated.

What about the headstock shape? Which strat model best matches the San Dimas strathead?

Customwoods seems to be very hard to contact. Musikraft is very good about working with you. I just ordered one from Musikraft, should be here soon. Check them out:

There was this exact discussion on CC.

                  http://p074.ezboard.com/fcharvelcent...icID=710.topic

Looks like it was modeled after the 56 strat.

And I recall a different thread in GBOM section that musikcraft is the new name of customwoods. In the headstock drop down for musikraft, you don't have to decide on a particular Fender strat headstock...there's actually a choice for a Charvel San Dimas strat head.

An original Charvel neck would be birdseye I think...
