You mean currently? Nope all of the Charvels in the current lineup are USA made only.

And come to think of it, I don't think any have ever been made in Korea. The old Model series were made in Japan, and I think the more recent imports (Journeyman, etc.) were all made in Japan as well.

Yes, some of the imports were made in Korea. The CHS models were Korean made, as were a couple of other models or series. The best way to tell would be the 12th fret dots. They will be far apart, not close together like most Charvels, USA or Japanese made.

There was a weird Dinky model made in Indonesia, also. It actually had a sharkfin inlay on the 24th fret. I forget who here owned that one.

Here's a weird import Charvel with ugly headstock (I think it's Korean).

Here's another strange headstock, but I think this is for the Japanese-only market.

Actually, that is Japanese made. Not sure what they were thinking in regards to the harpoon headstock though.

The CHS series were an import line that were made between 95 and 97. They had the PC headstock and the pointy guitar Charvel logo. They were more or less beginners lines. They're not bad players. I personally have a CHS2 and a CHS4(bass).

Are those related to the CS series todd? I have the cs-20 i believe. My only Charvel yard sale find. Same exact headstock as that CHS

Re: Is there Korean made Charvels?

Yes. The CS series was from 96, the only real differences between the two are that the CS series were made in China and were more like fender strats. (jack plate on the face of the guitar, top hat knobs)

No, it wasn't India. I was surprised, too. The board member here said it had a sticker that said Indonesia on the back, IIRC. Or was it maybe Taiwan? . It was someplace weird where I didn't think they made Jacksons.

Ok. =) But I'm still taking that information with a grain of salt until I see a photo of said sticker. =)
