• Used RR-1 prices?

Sorry to do this on general chat, but (despite being a member about 3 year) i dont have enough posts to visit classifieds!

How much does a used RR-1 go for? A standard model, in black with no fancy options or anything?

Thanks

Good condition, I'd say around $900 to a $1000. Give or take a $100.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

I,m not saying your wrong, but thats quite a hack for a 2 grand guitar. I gotta start looking into one of these for that price.......... I guess that's why I don't like buying new............

An newer regular RR-1 is not a $2K guitar. Try selling one for more then $1k and see how many takers you get. Heck, its hard enough to get $2K for an excellent condition San Dimas made V (which is probably worth it IMHO if you like Vs).

I got mine (with graphic, in very good shape) for a little less than 900 (I think) and considered that a deal; 900-1000 sounds about right.

I think it also depends on what year.
recent RR-1 would be bit higher because they should be in great shape but 90's ones should go bit lower as I have seen many on E_bay with chips and dings.
Also picking scratches especially Black body is easy to have them.
These usually go around $800.
Recent ones(2000-) would be around $1000.

Why not contact one of JCF online dealers?
A Brand new RR1 with solid color should be cheaper than $2000.

If you´re paying 2k for a new RR-1, you shoud really consider shopping elsewhere, like www.mattsmusic.com or www.vwallguitars.com

Proof of point: http://www.mattsmusic.com/jacksoninventory.htm

Bottom left is an RR-1 WITH pinstripes (I think about a 250$ upcharge)..that guitar is listes as 1925$..this is MAP (Minimum Advertised Price)....

I´ll bet you 50 bucks that that´s not Matt´s final price for a JCF member....You want my Paypal data now or after you´ve asked him?

I,m sorry, my fault! I,m calling $1925/$1949 a 2 thousand dollar guitar............

as Zerb said, "that guitar is listes as 1925$..this is MAP (Minimum Advertised Price)....

Jackson exercises a MAP now, so that's the lowest that ANY dealer is allowed to advertise a particular model. If you contact the dealer, they will provide you with their actual price. The MAP might be just under $2k, but I betcha the price you actually pay a dealer will be quite a bit less.

Unless you live in Europe or Australia, where dealers don't seem to like to charge less than recommended retail.
