Unless you live in Europe or Australia, where dealers don't seem to like to charge less than recommended retail.

Ain't that the truth! The RR-5 I was drooling over Saturday works out at about $1500!

Add New Zealand to that list as well. Talk about gouging!!

I even rang the local shop to see if I could get parts for my RR1. They couldn't give me a quote because they didn't have any in stock but they said it would be EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. I often wonder why these guys are in business.

Re: Used RR-1 prices?

The local dealer in Sweden wanted $3.750 for a brand new Black RR1, need I say I passed on that one...

You should consider yourself VERY lucky overseas who can buy all the good stuff at ridicilously low prices.
Even if I can get somebody to ship to Sweden from the US, my Socialdemocratic Government wants tax and that would add another 30% on the price.

I have to visit the US soon...

I want RR with reverse headstock and single hum with OFR!!!

Yeah, the one I got from eBay ended up costing me about 30% more because of taxes, and on top of that, the case was busted.... ain't it fun!?!?!

Hehe, guys, you gotta be smart about these things!

I always buy from the states and get like 15% cheaper. (and that's with 24% tax added, shipping, etc)
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

I've tried to bring at least one guitar every time I've been over to the US. Unfortunately it's hard to sync a tour with e-bay auctions...

To bad about your RR case. They broke my -83 Rhoads...

I picked up a '97 RR-1 w/ EMGs in great shape from a fellow JCFer for $850 total.

I got a near minty 1999 model in snow white with black bevels for $1050 shipped cross country off eBay 2 months ago.

I bought a mint '92 RR-1T for $900 ( the guy wanted $1200). I also won an '89 RR-1 ( with alot of chipped paint) on E-Bay for $550.

My bad, I meant to say an '02 RR-1T. What year did they officially become RR-1's?

1996 was the magic year.
