Hey Word!! That one is kinda like the discontinued Tom Delonge Strat, minus the pickgaurd and that one has a single coil in the neck. I would love that guitar without the single coil!! I also, like the shredders above, the Red/Grey one with rosewood, man are they looking Wayne like. Jack.
Those are some awesome looking strats! I hope they become (or are) production models. Very old school Charvelish. I wonder what the necks feel like?
Usually Fender's don't have the thin fretwire unless it is a vintage reissue. Most humbucker models have larger fretwire, and contemporary guitars have a medium width wire.
I wondered why I didn't see any Model 1's from J/C in any of the pictures from NAMM. I know they were doing them again, I was going to be setting them up for NAMM. Now I know why.
Ever since I was about 13 (early 80's) I've LOVED Strats, but I also realised that NO-ONE makes a better Strat than Charvel.
I don't really like the way a Fender feels in my hands...just something about the neck...and I have little hope for these new Fenders. The way a guitar LOOKS is not even half the story.
These were all marked with the Custom Shop logo on the back of the headstock, so I don't know if we'll see them as production models or not.
I played them and they are pretty darn cool. Not a Charvel feel, but that don't mean it was a bad feel at all.
