Hello, just a newbie hello after lurking for awhile. For someone that loves Randy and was inspired to pick up the guitar because of him in '82, it sure took me long enough to finally buy an RR. I spent a good portion of my youth salivating over new Rhoads Customs and Students at Venemanns in MD, passed on one when they were just about "giving" them (well...almost !) away in '85, bought a new Ibanez Phil Collen Destroyer instead (gone [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]).
In ' 94, I was living in LA and passed again on my choice of several close-out MIJ Pro Rhoads models that GC on Sunset was again, just about "giving away" ... for a new '93 US Fender 57 RI Strat, which I still have and love.
Anyway, everyone has stories like this to tell and 3 times is the charm for me I guess, I finally got a new RR5 Tranparent Red and I love it. Thanks for all the info from all on this forum, it is helpful, and I'll talk to y'all soon.
