I was looking at it. Here's what transpired next.

Wife: Oh my god whats that?

ME: Thats one of the new guitars painted by...

Wife: He's painting your custom!

Me: But... um... honey...

Wife: You're having that guy paint your custom.

Me: But I was not going to have a graphic on my custom.

Wife: well you'll have to get two then...

Me: Ok honey you win this one.

Hey Guys,
I just want to get something straight. We are not posting these images to get in a pissing match with Dan or any fans of his work. I am a fan of his stuff as well. I am really trying to put my best foot forward with respect to Dan's legacy with Jackson. I WILL NOT reproduce his designs out of respect for him and his art. I would like to think that we are on the same team. Both uniquely bringing our art to the Jackson table. Please respect that.

I've met both Mike and Dan, both are excellent artists and great guys. I fully back up what Mike says about not turning this into some competition.

Mike, I want to thank you for creating such an incredible masterpiece.... being from an artist background, I can definately understand what work and intensity went into doing a piece like this.... You have captured extensively well, not only the facial and slow but methodical tendencies of how a Koi swims, but also the underwater-like quality of them in a pond.... very exciting work.....

Being of Chinese descent, this is a beautiful piece that I would seriously consider for my collection..... That being said, it seems like this fish may have got away.... to VanOsbourne.... or has it? If not, my order is in ....

Again Mike, a pleasure to see a stunnig piece like this.... It definately shows your creative ability.... I say keep breaking the mold which I am sure you will...
