Can someone give detailed information about the "sustainiac" pick up and these controls;

CONTROLS Master Volume,
Master Tone,
Intensity Control,
Active Sustainiac® On/Off Switch,
Fundamental/Harmonic/Blend Switch

it should be basically the same as the one on the PC1...

it has a master volume, and two micro switches
one turns the pickup "on" and the other has the "harmonic blend" when the pickup is "off" it still functions as a neck pickup. the sustainer can be used with any of the guitar's pickups as well

I have been told the PC1 has a custom unit that is not a sustaniac.

I was actually calling companies that make these trying to find out who made the one for the PC1 and I never did find out.

The sustainer in the PC1 is a Floyd Rose design.
If you look at the circuit board you will see
the name Floyd Rose and the Floyd Rose patent number.
You can look up the patent on the patent search web site.
I don't know who actually builds it. Maybe Floyd Rose
builds them and sells them as an OEM to Jackson?
The DK2S uses the Sustainiac.
The Fernandes guitars use a Fernandes sustainer. (FSK-401)
The fernandes and Sustainiac are available separate to retrofit into your project guitar.
All three sustainers do the same thing but each has
a slightly different response (or personality).
All three have their own patents.
