Definitely a strat & dinky kind of guy myself, too. But I've grown to love my Kelly. And I dig stars and Vs, too. But I usually only keep one or two "pointies" in my stable, and they end up getting played the least. Never seemed to like Warriors, though.

For me....it's not the pointier, the better. I look at my liking for pointy guitars from a builders point of veiw. Streamlined angles, and such! That's why I love Warriors, V's, Explorers, etc...Then there's "too pointy" like a BC Rich Beast for example which I find kinda ugly (IMO)

Are Firebirds considered pointy? If so than count me in. I have a thing for Explorers too so... Don't get me wrong. I like strats and LP's too. Pointy's just hang better with me.

the Kelly shape really is the most comfortable guitar I've played. I realized that after a few months. The strat horn digs into your chest,and gets inbetween the neck and I. The body gets in the way of my picking hand. The kelly leans forward so I can't see the fretboard --- good, because I don't need to see it at all. The side dots are all I need. It's much more comfortable for me to finger this way than the strat shape... ugh I hate the strat shape. It really is meant to be worn really high.

Besides, kellys are just cool, they stand out instead of the usual boring shapes. <u>girls love it.</u> That alone is actually enough for me.
