of all the sites i've visited, this is head and shoulders above. here, theres no such thing as a stupid question. just stupid people who ask questions... [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/stupid.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]... ..jk. i've never been heckled for the most part when asking questions. everyone's got to learn somewhere and people here remember that. when it comes to the technical side of maintenance, setup, repair...someone will always try to help you out instead of poking fun at you and NOT helping you. which has been pretty much my experience elsewhere. either they can't answer your questions, or won't. the maturity level here is unrivaled imo, and i like to think i've made a few friends here in the short time since i've joined. theres a wealth of knowledge here that people are willing to share without expecting anything in return. i enjoy the people and topics here and 90% of the time i spend online is right here. i look forward to returning any help for the help i've received here. hail jcf... I enjoy this site & am only a member hear. This board works for me & the admins keep it in tip top shape.

I can't imagine why anyone would have issues with this forum. This is the only place where I can get advice that I can take seriously from people who know their stuff. And it's usually pretty fun over here, too.

Well, it's happened in the past and it will happen in the future. I was reading a rant last night about the JCF from a couple of years ago that was very critical and vicious. And despite what some people think the participants are still members of this board.

As the old addage goes, you can't please everyone.

Anyhoo....I admit I've been guilty of it in the past (not on other boards, but taking stabs at the rules here)....like Todd says, you can't please everyone, but at the end of the day it comes down to respecting the rules. Not everyone is going to like them or agree 100% with them, but respect it if you're going to hang out there. You shouldn't shit where you eat. (sorry for the crude cliché...but you get the point)

I'm surprised that there aren't more little assholes causing problems on this board, considering its size, speed, and popularity! I saw my first out and out flame just a few days ago. Kinda shocking, but yet again the admins came to the rescue. I don't think I've ever been flamed here. Bullshitted a lot, but I do that too!

This is the only board that makes me want to go above and beyond to contribute...basically because of everyone else's generosity.

I have definitely gotten more than I've given, but at the same time, it makes you want to contribute when you can add some value, and I see that in most of the posts whether it's actual information or encouragement or pats on the back.

I think the admins and the way they run this board is a large part of creating that kind of community here and not like the rest of the internet, which can be a really nasty place because people take advantage of their anonymity just to be dickheads.

I think it takes a real skill to coax the good out of bunch of far flung people gathered together virtually on a message board as opposed to what you typically see on the net.

I am inclined to agree with you, but talking bad about us or the board isn't necessarily against the rules. Trust me, if it were, a couple of folks who have even posted in this thread would be gone. I will say that it doesn't make us want to rush to help that person out if the need arises.

It's hard to believe people would want to bash this place, it's one of the most civil forums I've participated in. Some people are never happy I guess.
