Re: NAMM JCF\'ers
Hey McD, I wasn't at NAMM but was hoping you could answer a question in relation to it.
When will info be available on J/C's new offerings for 2003, and when they'll be available for order? i.e., updated web site, catalog, etc.
Specifically, I'm very interested in knowing the specs of those new psuedo-strathead USA Charvels that were hanging next to the Bullseye at NAMM. (...Assuming they're a new USA Select model, and not one-off customs.) And, of course, I'm also interested in all the other changes for the year. (...More pointy-head Charvels like the bullseye to come at summer NAMM?)

Re: NAMM JCF\'ers
I am wondering the same things as Shreddermon.
Pointy head Charvels sound cool... so does an MG model Rhoads or KV (neckthru would be better yet)... and so does Maple fretboard Charvels... ok so the list could go on, but I think this would be a start for most of us KV DM PRO, SLSXMG, RRXMG, DXMG, LP P90 Goldtop_GSP1101_RM4: JF SL-OD100_Randall RT2/50_Peavey 4x12 cab
I'm loving the Jaded Faith mods. Going Egnater Dual mod route: Voxless, SL-OD100, Brahma #39, QuickMod GT

Re: NAMM JCF\'ers
The USA Charvel's are one off custom guitars that will not be part of the USA select series. I was told they are currently working on any changes that may be done to the web site. You won't see much in the way of changes until NAMM this summer. That's when the new product changes by the new ownership will be out since there was a short time till NAMM after the purchase to fit anything in for this Winters NAMM.We must!

Re: NAMM JCF\'ers
FWIW Sully did say that the other 4 USA charvels had the exact same neck profile as the bullseyes ..Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

Re: NAMM JCF\'ers
Yeah, I saw that Kev. But stratheads have different neck dimensions than pointy heads. So to be authentic, shouldn't psuedo-stratheads have... Just kidding. I'm not one of those ultra screwhead-counting vintage nuts. I love the neck profile on the bullseyes, so would be extremely pleased if all of the new USA Charvels had the same.
(BTW, thanks for the info., Sully. )

Re: NAMM JCF\'ers
Well at least they are serializing them with the Charvel plates again and Charvel serial numbers around where they left off. That right there is a big step in my book. Kind of stupid, but I think it adds a coolness factor. We must!

Re: NAMM JCF\'ers
Wow. Well that sucks. I mean, I know Fender has had their hands full with the merger of operations, etc. But I guess I figured that the new models spec'd before the buyout would just proceed as planned (...hence, my assumption those were production Charvels), and Fender's "full swing" impact wouldn't really hit until `04. Then again, that would explain a lot about what was shown / done at NAMM. ...Or the lack thereof.
2003: the year that never was, for Jackson. At least until summer NAMM, that is.
I guess my wallet will be in a holding pattern. Not easy to do. ....Must...resist...temptation...to...blow it...on...other....stuff Oops, think I pulled something there.
