Re: July 2005 GOTM

Congrats Curt!!! That is THE fucking guitar that started the fever for me in 1984. The first time that I saw 'Round and Round' I thought, "Whoa, killer guitar." As far as I'm concerned, J0005 IS the Holy Grail of Jackson guitars!!!

Hey Curt, I look forward to playing her the next time we hook up........

    Best,

    Adrian

Hey guys thanks for all the kudos. Really.

Owning this guitar (Thanks Dave!)is a humbling experience and I feel fortunate to have gotten the chance to own it. After all is said & done we are only temporary custodians of these great guitars and I really appreciate this one and it's history.

          TALK ABOUT MOJO!

Like Adrian, this guitar is THE guitar that hooked me on Jacksons. Some will laugh when I say I wasn't a huge RATT/Robbin fan back in the day but the first time I saw the Round & Round Video I got a chill when I saw that guitar and hoped to someday get one just like it.

Yes the pickups are not original and are current Duncans ... Robbin kept the originals..wonder where they are now? The ORIGINAL workorder (which I have because Rob Lane stole it from the custom shop and gave it to Dave Ingram...I will be returning it and keeping a copy) specifies a JB and a Jazz, the JB is crossed out and 'Invader' is written in above it!

Adrian....anytime man...you know my door is always open.

          Cheers!

Simply put, that is amazing! I too remember that video all too well and the feeling I had when I saw that guitar! Ratt for me was one o fthose bands that I just 'GOT' right away! I grew up with KISS and Ace was my hero, until I heard RATT and then Warren kind of shared that spot with Ace! Those old days rocked and I too ALWAYS dreamed of having those cool ass hot rodded guitars like the guys in RATT played!

Way to go on a great guitar!

[/ QUOTE ] The guitar was not rotting in a case. I was in the DAVE INGRAM collection. Dave got the guitar from Robiin himself in the 90's. Dave has owned most of Robbins guitars. Dave and Robbin became buddys in the 90's and Robbin would sell Dave the guitars. Dave kept most for a while. The he felt others should own them. Curt got the guitar from Dave. Dave always has a bodyguard with when he deals in guitars. Right Curt.
