Not so good news for those of you needing warranty
Re: Not so good news for those of you needing warranty
agreed that it seems like a frustrating situation, but what reasons are they giving for not fixing something that was fixed (supposedly) under warranty? not taking sides or anything, but there are two of them.
Re: Not so good news for those of you needing warranty
Ok, here's another update I received today. Apparently the original repair that was done was not authorized by FMIC, but done by one of their service centers (huh)? So they have offered to refret the entire guitar and redo all of the inlays for get this......$250.00. However the problem is that they can refret that thing a million times and it wont fix the problem of the twist in the neck from the 1st thru 6th fret on the trebble side that has been there ever since I received the guitar. Hows that for Jackson warranty service folks?

Oh, and I almost forgot, they have yet to explain why the fretboard is shrinking excessively as well. Damn you gotta love these people!

You'd think, eh? So did I. They were even shocked that the repair didn't hold up considering who did it. I have a few options though, wait until they give in, or I could give in myself and have a $1500. wall decoration.
[/ QUOTE ] Be careful dude. i was talking to Jim Root the other day and he sent in his Custom shop and never got it back. He said he found out later that they sent it to Drum City and they sold it. It was the one from the Guitar World cover that had "ROOT" on the fingerboard. He was pissed.
