Re: Not so good news for those of you needing warr

By the way, I think the "good ol' lil' company" you are referring to is in Petaluma not Mesa, unless you're talking about Quality Transmission Shop, because I've heard they have great service too.

Sorry for my little rant, I thought I was on a JACKSON enthusiast page where I might be preaching to the choir.

And for the record (you're going to HATE knowing this) - the deal with Jim Root was when AMIC owned Jackson. I have dealt with Jim Root and he's 100% satisfied with Jackson/Charvel now that FMIC is in the picture.

Lata!

It's not one bad post Donnie, it's a series of "you sucks" when it's not the case. I'm starting to feel like Floyd Mayweather Jr. over here!

I know it's petaluma, but Mesa would get the point across better.

I was not trying to flame or insult you in any way man! Sorry if you felt like that. I was truly joking, because of the business-like vibe of the post.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

No worries GodOfRhythm - and for the record, the guys at Mesa Boogie rule! And let's hope I don't have any problems with my Mark IV when I finally get one...

FMIC is the industry leader in customer service. Please try to remember that the next time someone gets frustrated when they're dealing with us that chances are thing WILL work out.

Sure, it worked out for him, but only after pushing the issue when he was told it wouldn't be resolved in the first place and that he'd have to pay to get it fixed. It should have been resolved by the first customer service rep instead of him having to get the run-around.

[/ QUOTE ]

Can't you just live with the fact they did get it right? Sure it could have been handled better off the bat but they are getting it right. Someone screwed up, no sense in beating a dead horse.

I am living with the fact they finally did get it right, and I think that's great. I wasn't beating a dead horse. He (Brian) was stating that FMIC is the industry leader in customer service. If that's so, then why couldn't they get it right on the first try? I wasn't blaming Brian, as I'm sure there were other people involved with Donnie's situation that either dropped the ball or didn't know what they were doing.

Here's the reason why it's taken so long to figure out what's been going on.

Come to find out the reason why there was such an issue about the warranty on my guitar has to do with a certain repair person (in Fort Worth, TX.), who told me that he was authorized to do the first repair when in fact no one at FMIC had any clue that any repair was done to it. This generated some confusion at FMIC cause they didn't know about the first repair.

I'm very happy at the fact that the people in Corona are going to be doing this repair, what more could anyone ask for? It's being repaired by the same people who built it, I think that rules!!!!!

Plus everyone has to realize. no matter who the company is, they are going to turn out a turd every now and then. It's just a fact. It's those that will fix the turds that you keep going back to. Ok, that sounded a little screwed up. i think you get my point. I just took some ny-quil so i'm a bit loopy right now. Wow. the trails. I am glad to see this whole situation worked out and we need more participation from you FMIC guys thats what makes this board great now only if you guys could help me out in getting the inlays I want done on my Jackson custom shop so I dont have to take it to an outside guy that does inlays.

That's pretty unfair harping on McD and taking personal shots at him. He's not directly responsible with the service issue, the acutal repair, or at the factory shrugging on what they should actually do.

From what it seems, unauthorized service work was performed on the guitar prior to their receiving it. IF that's indeed the case, JCMI has no obligation to correct that issue, especially if the unauthorized work made the problem worse, or even more difficult to correct.
